Los príncipes Guillermo y Harry, nietos de la reina Isabel II, han recibido hoy al reparto de la película “Paddington II” y han despedido a un grupo de niños que ha emprendido un viaje por el campo con un tren solidario.
El acto también ha contado con la asistencia de la duquesa de Cambridge, Kate Middleton, que ha sufrido una hiperemesis gravídica durante los primeros meses de embarazo, las mismas náuseas que experimentó en la gestación de sus otros dos hijos, algo que la ha mantenido alejada de sus compromisos oficiales.
Los príncipes han mantenido un encuentro formal con los actores y el equipo técnico de la segunda edición de la comedia británica protagonizada por el Oso Paddington del autor Michael Bond, que falleció este mes de junio.
Además, han despedido al convoy “Belmond British Pullman” en su salida de la estación londinense de Paddington, integrado por 130 niños seleccionados por miembros del fórum de caridad de la casa real, que han pasado por momentos difíciles en sus cortas vidas.
El fórum agrupa a más de 30 organizaciones y está dirigido por ambos príncipes, que son los patrones de la organización.
El encuentro precede a la ceremonia “WellChild Awards” que se celebra este lunes en el Royal Lancaster Hotel de Londres, donde el príncipe Enrique presentará el premio al niño más valiente e inspirador de entre cuatro y seis años.
El miembro de la familia real dará un breve discurso y se encontrará con los ganadores de cada categoría y sus familiares en un acto previo a la ceremonia.
WellChild es la organización de caridad británica para niños con graves enfermedades, que tiene por objetivo que estos puedan criarse y crecer en sus casas junto a sus familias. EFE
