Gobierno critica que ELN amenace con paro armado y dice garantizará seguridad

El Consejo de Seguridad decidirá el jueves si autoriza a un funcionario norcoreano sancionado por la ONU a viajar a los Juegos Olímpicos (JJOO) de Pyeongchang junto a la hermana de Kim Jong-Un, dijeron diplomáticos.

Corea del Sur presentó el miércoles al comité de sanciones del Consejo una solicitud de excepción a la prohibición de viajar impuesta a Choe Hwi, presidente del Comité administrador deportivo nacional de Corea del Norte.

Choe fue puesto en la lista de sancionados en junio del año pasado como principal director del departamento de agitación y propaganda del gobernante Partido de los Trabajadores de Corea del Norte.





Si nadie objeta la solicitud hasta las (20:00 GMT) del jueves, el Consejo automáticamente otorgará la excepción a Choe para viajar al sur de la península.

Fuentes diplomáticas señalaron que esperan luz verde del Consejo, donde los delegados de muchos países apoyan el acercamiento entre Corea del Norte y Sur durante los JJOO.
