Inauguran en Dubái un hotel de 356 metros de altura, el más alto del mundo (fotos)

El emirato de Dubái, con un hambre permanente de batir récords, anunció este domingo la apertura del hotel más alto del mundo, con 356 metros, según un tuit de la oficina gubernamental de información.

El Gevora Hotel, situado en la gran avenida Jeque Zayed, supera en apenas un metro el récord de otro hospedaje vecino, de la cadena Marriott.





Con sus 355 metros de altura, este último había batido el récord de otro hotel del mismo barrio, el Rose Rayhaan, de la cadena Rotana (333 metros).

El Gevora Hotel ocupa una torre de 75 pisos de color dorado. Según el diario The National, dispone de cuatro restaurantes, una piscina, un spa de lujo y un gimnasio. Los primeros clientes llegarán el lunes.

Dubái ya alardeaba de tener la torre más alta del mundo, el Burj Jalifa, que asciende hasta los 828 metros. El emirato esta construyendo una estructura aún más alta, cuyas medidas, por el momento, son un secreto.

La ciudad-Estado, uno de los principales destinos turísticos del Golfo, recibió 15,8 millones de visitantes en 2017, un 6,2% más que el año anterior y, a su vez, un récord.
