“One of the main objectives of the dictatorship is to divide. All that Jorge Rodríguez said yesterday, are montages that any child can do. Before this nefarious manipulation I want to make clear to everyone what is behind this fabrication you have created, the parliamentarian said.”
“First of all, to intimidate and attack all of us who are fighting against fraud. Secondly, to put us all in the same boat, so that people will say ‘why change if they are all equal?’ Here those who have stolen public funds are the thieves of the PSUV, the thieves are you who looted PDVSA, those who protect Alex Saab, and the list is so long that we could continue until tomorrow,” he said.
“We cannot allow these people to play with fear to stop us. We are not going to allow them to win this struggle that has had people killed, tortured and imprisoned,” said Guevara.
The deputy for Voluntad Popular indicated that Maduro’s dictatorship does not want a contrast between the transparent way in which the legitimate government manages the resources of the state and the corrupt way in which the ‘chavista’ regime does it.
“What we have to ask ourselves here is when Jorge Rodríguez has told the truth. Unlike the thieves of the regime, the PDVSA Ad Hoc board made an account report, I challenge these criminals to be accountable to the National Assembly”.
Similarly, Guevara explained that the Simón Bolívar Foundation is a private foundation “since for them everything is the same, they do not understand that the parties do not finance themselves with the Simón Bolívar Foundation. Every penny that has been invested in the foundation is publicly audited as required by the law of the United States where the foundation is located.”
“If anyone has doubts whether the Unity parties are using public funds to finance ourselves, go to the U.S. legislation or the foundation’s website and you will find that not a single bolívar is going to any organization linked to us,” he added.
They are not going to stop us
The deputy for Miranda State rejected the new wave of persecution initiated by the dictatorship since the departure of the presidential commissioner for the Center of Government, Leopoldo López, from the country.
“They are not going to arrest us all and if they arrest us all then there will be more because we are millions of Venezuelans who are not going to let Venezuela become Cuba” he stated.
